Studio K’s fused glass is based on an ancient technique. Pieces of glass are heated until they fused into one another. After cooling, the edges are sanded and the work is reheated over a mold until it “slumps” into the mold. The productions lines come in fifteen sizes, ranging from a 5″ x 5″ dish to a 16″ x 32″ x 6″ oval. Available background colors are: clear, red, cobalt, tan, amber, chartreuse, and dark jewel-toned.
