Susan Mauck

Artist Susan Mauck describes her artwork as impressionistic with a contemporary edge.

A studio painter at heart, Mauck works from life as much as possible. Her passion for painting the figure is evident in her work. “Working with the figure is both exciting and challenging, and I never tire of capturing the gesture and emotion  that comes when working from a live model.   “I love when the drawing shows through in my paintings…letting the viewer observe a peek at the process.”   Mauck’s portfolio also includes portraiture and landscapes.

The Midwest artist graduated  from Indiana University majoring in Art, continuing her education through workshops and seminars of well-known artists including , Alex Powers,  Richard Schmid, C.W. Mundy,  Carolyn Anderson, Ken Auster, Debra Huse, and Kim English.

Susan is a member and exhibitor in several art organizations, including the prestigious Hoosier Salon, IPAPA, Indiana Heritage, Indiana Artists Club, and the American Impressionist,Society
